MEXC Unveils $30M IgniteX Fund: 5-Year Web3 Talent Rush with Korea University
MEXC Ventures, the investment arm of the crypto exchange MEXC, announced the launch of a $30 million Web3 fund to support the next generation of talent within the decentralized space on Thursday.
In a press release, the firm said the IgniteX fund is set to be rolled out over a five-year period, reflecting MEXC Ventures’ commitment to assisting sustainable blockchain development. The project kicks off with a dedicated launchpad program designed to incubate ideas and attract early-stage Web3 startups, developer communities, and educational institutions.
Fund Launch in Partnership With Korea University
The fund is being launched in partnership with Korea University’s Blockchain Research Institute. This program will support blockchain development, facilitate academic exchanges, and develop a pool of next-generation Web3 professionals, thereby ensuring a smooth transition for new users into the decentralized economy. MEXC Ventures is calling for submissions from a broad range of sectors, including decentralized infrastructure, AI-integrated blockchain solutions, stablecoins, and fintech tools.
Through mentorship, educational efforts, and funding, the program intends to create a future-ready blockchain ecosystem. By using these resources, the project not only supports promising projects and research but also builds a foundation for Web3 startups. In addition to funding and incubation support, the campaign will also feature a series of global hackathons and developer engagement programs to identify and support emerging talent from around the world.
Education is a huge part of this initiative. The group said it plans to offer university scholarships and specialized blockchain courses through partnerships with academic institutions. These efforts are further reinforced by the launch of mentorship programs that will provide participants with access to current Web3 leaders, training events, and hands-on project development experiences.
DWF Labs Launches $250M Liquid Fund to Boost Web3 Projects
In March, crypto market maker and investment firm DWF Labs announced the launch of a $250 million Liquid Fund to accelerate the growth of mid- and large-cap blockchain projects. The fund is designed to promote real-world adoption of Web3 technologies through focused, strategic investments. The fund focuses on investing between $10 million and $50 million in projects that can scale blockchain technology and infrastructure for mainstream use.
